Many years ago I started a community on Meetup and then took that group of women into a Facebook group, as this was where the women I wanted to connect with tended to hang out.

My Facebook community only had a few hundred members, however the women were engaging and loved networking. So I started organising events for them.

My events were hosted in really nice hotels, restaurants and bars in Central London locations. It was always exciting to visit a different venue in a new location.

Sometimes we would be invited by venues that wanted to host my group and provide complimentary nibbles and drinks.

I would invite guest speakers to come and share their business expertise, tips and advice with the members. At the end there would be an opportunity to network and get to know each other. We would always look forward to when we would meet up again the following month.

My small and mighty group of women were my people and I loved networking with them and my clients. It was my absolute joy and passion to create the safe space and help them start or scale their online businesses.

Fast forward a decade - not much has changed. Facebook groups are still a great place to foster great relationships, network with other people and get clients.
